"I designed my pin after my belief of what the West Orange St. Patrick's Day Parade stands for...Family, Friends and Community."
"The Cleary Family Crest is depicted on my pin as an honor to my family heritage. It symbolizes generosity, loyalty and peace. "
"The Center design honors the Lonergan family crest (crossed arrows and stars) and I added a shamrock emblazoned with the American flag to honor my Irish-American heritage. The Green, White and Gold coloring proudly represent the Irish flag."
"The thinking that went into the design of my Pin was focused on sharing the honor of being chosen as one of the Deputy Grand Marshal’s for the 2024 St. Patrick’s Day Parade with my Father, Matthew Mulligan Sr. The PIN is an exact replica of my Father’s PIN used when he was elected as Vice President of the Elks North Central District in 2003. The shamrock signified my Fathers's Irish heritage, which was perfect for my Pin as we are both equally proud of our Irish heritage. The flag signified our love and commitment to our Country, again something we shared very strongly. My Father being a Korean War Veteran. And of course, the Elk at the top of the Pin signifies our Involvement with the Elks, my Father for almost 50 years and I as a member for 43, both of us holding high offices in the North Central District. Wearing this Pin is special for me as it keeps my Father, a man I deeply love and admire with me as I enjoy this honor."
